Forming

The finish result for a concrete application wouldn’t be the way it looks without the proper forms. As one of the beginning steps in the concrete process, forming is important because it clearly outlines the concrete layout and sets it up for concrete pour and design.

Usually we install wooden forms that to hold the concrete in place when it’s wet and has a runny slump. After the concrete hardens, the forms are easy to remove. When we form stairs, it’s more difficult because the wet concrete exerts a significant amount of pressure causing the forms to bend ; therefore special precautions need to be taken.

Straight line forming is common for concrete driveways, walkways, and patios. However we can do forming with curves, which is also an artistic way to make your concrete look unique.
